Funeral party  Funeral party
We intended on getting the ferry to outlying island Cheung Chau but on discovering it was a public holiday (when the
ferries & island would be jam packed), we abandoned the idea & sat down with a cold beer to think of Plan B
There was a funeral party waiting to board the ferry (white is the colour of mourning for the Chinese)

Funreal party  Wedding party
As they prepared to board, a wedding party emerged from the ferry to pose for pictures on the steps
Traditionally, brides wore the lucky colour red but modern Hong Kongers favour the Western style wedding gown
(note the bride's red sneakers)
