First glimpses of the magnificent gothic Cathedral of Santa Maria
Building began atop the former citadel of the Roman city on the site of an Arab mosque in 1229 CE
but it was not completed until 1601 CE

grilled mild chillies, & prawns in garlic & boiling olive oil
